A carved idol of Christ hewn of ivory by unknown hands, bathed in incandescent light of the Cloisters Museum. Both of his arms have been forfeited to the sands of time. Angels from around the various pieta attempt to comfort, while a silver dragon whose scales as myriad as the bricks in the building itself, stands guard of a captured white unicorn, a fence made from its serpentine coils. Etching from a trip to The Cloisters. Hard-ground and aquatint with hand-blended colors.
